Rohingya.co is an educational project. We collect as little personal information as possible. This page explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- No accounts. We do not require sign-up to read or use the site.
- AI assistant. When you chat with the assistant, your messages are sent to Google Gemini through our servers solely to generate a response. They are not stored on our servers. Your chat history is kept in your browser's local storage and cleared when you click "New chat."
- Translator. Text submitted to the translator is sent to Google Gemini through our servers solely to produce a translation, then discarded.
- Server logs. Like any web service, our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs (IP, user agent, status codes) for security and abuse prevention.
- Advertising. This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings, and if you're in the UK/EU/Switzerland you'll be shown a consent choice before personalized ads load. We don't control how Google's ad systems process this data — see Google's "How Google uses information from sites that use our services" for details.
Cookies
If and when advertising is enabled, Google AdSense sets cookies for ad delivery, personalization, and measurement. You can manage or delete these at any time through your browser settings, or control ad personalization through your Google Ad Settings.
Third parties
Use of the AI assistant and translator means your input is processed by Google's Gemini API under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We do not control Google's processing. Avoid pasting personal or sensitive information into either tool.
Children
The site is suitable for general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not maintain user accounts, there is generally no personal data for us to export or delete. To clear AI assistant conversations, use the "New chat" button or clear your browser storage. For any other privacy enquiry, please contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of the page.
